Amate sends KL Tower jumpers over the edge

MALAYSIA: Malaysia Master Audio System (M) Sdn Bhd has outfitted the top of the Kuala Lumpur Tower with Amate Audio loudspeakers to power the annual KL Tower International Base Jump.
The KL Tower has long been used to stage races – each year participants compete against each other to race up the building’s 2,058 steps to the top. In 1999, professional base jumper Aziz Ahmad requested a permit to jump from the TH05 level. It was granted and that was the beginning of the KL Tower International Base Jump, where each year some of the world’s best base jumpers gather.
Installed on the TH05 level, an outdoor platform 300m from ground level, are 16 B8 multipoint cabinets with four HD1200 amplifiers, two DSP608 signal processors and a single GE230 graphic equaliser. The speakers provide audio coverage throughout the outdoor deck.
