Aphex has announced Jim Bailey as its new product manager, with the manufacturer’s general manager Rick McClendon already praising his new recruit, declaring that there is ‘no better person for this position’.
Mr Bailey joins Aphex after a long and distinguished career within professional audio, having most recently worked as product manager for Avid brand M Audio. He also formerly worked for Tascam and once owned his own highly regarded Beverly Hills-based recording facility. In his new role, Mr Bailey will be responsible for overseeing the development of Aphex's professional audio and broadcast ranges.
‘I've known Jim for many years and had the pleasure of working with him at Tascam,’ explained Mr McClendon. ‘Jim is an innovator, visionary and a big-picture thinker. He's the ideal person to oversee Aphex's future product development.’ Echoing that sentiment was David Wiener, the president and CEO of Aphex parent company DWV Entertainment, who commented: ‘Jim was our first choice to head up product development, and we're excited to welcome him on board.’
Responding to his warm welcome and new role, Mr Bailey commented: ‘We've got some great plans ahead, and I'm looking forward to being involved in taking Aphex forward into the 21st century.’
