Audinate looks to Asia for Dante growth

ASIA: Audinate, the company behind Dante, has announced that much of the networking protocol’s growing adoption is thanks to Asian manufacturers, with a number of new licensing and new product announcements taking place at both Pro Light & Sound Guangzhou and InfoComm China. According to the developer, it has experienced significant growth throughout the Asia Pacific within the last six months.

Arguably the highest profile of the new Asian licensees is Japan’s TOA Corporation, though Dante has also been adopted by The Longjoin Group, who will add the protocol to its Musicrown line. DMX Audio is also new to the list, as is Seed Electronic Guangzhou Ltd, whose Marani Pro Audio range will now be Dante compliant. Additionally, recently announced Dante-enabled products include Taiden’s HCS 4338n, HCS 8338 and HCS 8300 conferencing units, a new line of Dante-loaded speakers from C-Mark, and Tendzone’s Cronus, Solon Dante Plus and E-Media module.

‘We are seeing strong uptake of the Dante platform in Asia as manufacturers realise the need to have their products interoperate with the Dante-enabled products already in the marketplace,’ declared John Rechsteiner, Audinate’s vice president of global sales and support. ‘Audinate has added significant new licensees in China, Japan and Korea over the last six months and we expect this trend to continue.’
