Audio-Technica (S.E.A.) appoints PT Santika as distributor in Indonesia

INDONESIA: With a focus on expanding and increasing the presence of Audio-Technica in the Indonesian professional audio market, Audio-Technica (S.E.A.) has appointed PT Santika Multi Jaya as its new distributor in the archipelago. The independent contractor and distributor is a renowned leader in Indonesia, carrying an enviable portfolio of leading brands. In addition, the company also specialises in the design of sound systems, room acoustics and speech intelligibility. PT Santika’s core business lies in the rental and installation market, but until present it lacked a quality microphone brand to complement its existing line up of products.
‘It’s a real challenge for everybody in Santika Multi Jaya to have one of the big names in the microphone world and we believe that with the quality and range of products of Audio-Technica, Indonesia will experience wider option of good quality microphones,’ commented Santika Multi Jaya’s marketing manager Alimo Tanto. Audio-Technica is confident that the expertise of PT Santika’s design and installation team will help maximise the full potential of its products. ‘It’s great to have Audio-Technica become the latest member in our product family,’ furthered Santika Multi Jaya sales manager Athanasius Cayho Budiono. ‘It will not only strengthen our position in the industry but also give the market another great product to choose.’
Under this distributorship agreement, PT Santika will have the rights to distribute the full product line-up of Audio-Technica’s professional microphones, including the flagship 5000 series wireless systems, Artist Elite vocal microphones and the Engineered Sound series of installed microphones, which require proficiency in microphone knowledge in order to handle them. ‘This partnership came about naturally,’ elucidated Audio-Technica (S.E.A.)’s regional pro-audio division sales manager Teng Shaokai. ‘PT Santika Multi Jaya being the leader in Indonesia for distribution, installation and rental will bring the full range of Audio-Technica’s products to greater heights.
