Bangkok Futsal Arena installs LAX

THAILAND: An LAX sound reinforcement system has been installed into the new Bangkok Futsal Arena (BFA). The indoor arena was initially built to hold the recent FIFA Futsal World Cup, which saw 24 teams from all over the world compete for the title over 52 matches.

It is expected that the 12,000-capacity BFA will host many future sporting events, and to effectively cater for the arena’s audio requirements, LAX installed a substantial quantity of LAX OP4925L line arrays with OP218B subwoofers for low end. LAX also installed several PA systems into the stadium.

‘The main challenge for the team was to study the acoustic particularities of the BFA,’ said an LAX company spokesperson. ‘The roof is made in glace and iron which causes the sound to reflect throughout the arena.’

Following thorough preparations and precise sound tests, LAX achieved the installation, and the company representative stated that ‘the sound system corresponds perfectly to the BFA and will delight the future 12,000 spectators.’
