KOREA: A pair of Barco DP4K-60L laser projectors has been installed at Lotte World Tower in Seoul to serve what is reportedly the largest cinema screen in the world. The screen is 34m wide and resides in Lotte Cinema’s Super Plex G theatre within South Korea’s tallest building.
‘The image quality is unbeatable,’ said a spokesperson from Lotte Cinema when discussing the Barco installation. ‘So, we’re not just offering our visitors the biggest screen but the sharpest and brightest images as well. The DP4K-60L can easily be upgraded to HDR, which makes it future-proof and when you look at the total cost of ownership, it offered ease-of-use and low maintenance.’
