Barnfind links OB signal at Tmall

CHINA: Zhejiang Satellite TV partnered with myriad broadcast companies, such as Guangdong Radio and Television station and Hunan Satellite TV Media, as it broadcast the latest edition of Tmall Double 11 Carnival Night. A Barnfind Technologies BarnOne optical transmission matrix was employed to connect the various stages to the broadcaster’s OB vehicle.
The event included participation from various international production teams and celebrities, and was directed by American producer David Hill, whose credits include the 88th Academy Awards and over 20 NFL Superbowls. Multiple BarnOne units with a range of SFP modules were utilised to accommodate the wide variety of signal format.
‘Even though the Tmall is an extremely complex environment, we did not have to worry about people accidentally stepping on cables, or any other hiccups since Barnfind easily allows for redundancy in all areas,’ explained Can Chen, CEO of Barnfind’s Chinese partner, DigiRed. ‘The BarnStudio software permits us to configure any combination of inputs and outputs at any time. And the new signal redundancy functionality, traditionally only seen in expensive management solutions, is standard from Barnfind. Our clients were overwhelmed with the platform’s quality and functionality.’
