Behringer appoints Fortune 500 chief human resources officer

WORLD: The Music Group has created the position of chief human resources officer for new appointee Patricia Tan, who previously worked for ‘Fortune 500’ companies including Yahoo. Ms Tan will be responsible for overseeing the global human resources operations for the group, including Behringer, Midas and Klark Teknik, as well as the Bugera guitar amplification brand.
The move sees the continuation of efforts by The Music Group to build a new management team that Chairman and CEO Uli Behringer describes as ‘a stellar group of executives with the skill and desire necessary to help us lead the Group toward success’. The acquisition of Midas and Klark Teknik and the recent establishment of the Behringer Install Group (BIG) are arguably the strongest signs so far of Mr Behringer’s determination to transform the group into ‘a multi-national consumer brand’. Among the other companies listed on Ms Tan’s resume are Credit Suisse, Sumitomo Banking Corporation and DHL.
‘I see many similarities between Behringer and Yahoo, especially that the founder-CEO started the business straight out of college in a cool industry that caters to both the young, and the young at heart,’ enthused Ms Tan. Mr Behringer added: ‘We are very excited to have Patricia on our management team. Her wealth of experience and her high level of energy are exactly what we need to get The Music Group to a new level.’
