JAPAN/MYANMAR: Consolidating a year of growth in 2016, beyerdynamic has unveiled new distribution partners in both Japan and Myanmar. Headquartered in Singapore as the sales and marketing director at beyerdynamic, Kamal Mahtani has already overseen changes in Australia, Indonesia and Korea since joining the company in late 2015.
‘We’re developing many new exciting products across the consumer, prosumer and professional ranges in 2017, so it was important to strategically select the right partners for all the various vertical markets beyerdynamic serves in a number of countries,’ explained Mr Mahtani. ‘In addition, we’re in the process of expanding the sales team here at our Singapore office so we can properly support our sales partners. This will include training, focused product seminars, roadshows and such like.’
Significantly, the German microphone and headphone manufacturer has appointed Audio Brains to take its Japanese business forward for the complete wired and wireless ranges. Having promoted its conferencing products for many years, the distributor also represents a heavyweight line up that includes d&b audiotechnik, Martin Audio and Powersoft, while its close link to powerhouse production company MSI is one of many factors that played a part in the decision to appoint it. TEAC will continue to distribute the full range of headphone products.
‘Traditionally we have always been strong supplying rental production companies, but over time we have developed an increasing market share amongst the fixed installation sector,’ explained Junta Yamazaki. ‘We initially started distributing conferencing systems, but in an effort to provide a total solution such as Dante networking, we are honoured to offer beyerdynamic’s full range of wired and wireless models.’
Finally, in the emerging market of Myanmar, Ghin Ghar Cherry has been tasked with driving the beyerdynamic brand particularly in the MI, rental and fixed installation markets.
‘Having committed to our news sales partners, beyerdynamic will be fully supporting their many and varied activities in 2017,' concluded Mr Mahtani. 'We’re already rolling out a busy programme of sponsorship branding at events, concerts and on radio stations. It’s vital that the brand visibility is there to be seen and that the products are made accessible to a wider audience.’
