INDIA: Jharkhand-based Bharat Light and Sound has invested in a Dynatech line array system to expand its touring rental business ahead of a busy summer concert season. The sale was made through the manufacturer’s regional distributor Sonotone.
‘Dynatech's DVX-212LA has been praised by major artists and respected engineers and will give us an excellent position in the touring market,’ said Pintu Kumar, owner of Bharat Light and Sound. ‘The time is right for the upgrade, and we’re excited to be the first rental company in Jharkhand to offer advanced loudspeaker technologies.’
The purchased system includes six DVX-212LA line array elements in addition to 20 dual 15-inch +HF tops housing P.Audio 600W RS P150/2226 woofers. The DVX-212LA is a 1,200W RMS dual 12-inch line array coupled with a 1.4-inch exit, 3-inch voice coil high compression driver. The system has reportedly been tested on a full schedule of live, DJ, and demanding roadshows and will also be used for a range of summer festivals and corporate events.
‘When I first heard a DVX-212LA demo, the sound quality at all levels was very impressive,’ explained Mr Kumar. ‘Also, the rigging system is just spectacular – it will significantly reduce the time and labour needed to fly the system, making it perfect for corporate events with tight scheduling.’
