Midwich to distribute Biamp in AUS and NZ

AUSTRALIA: Currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, Biamp Systems has appointed Midwich Australia as sole distributor for Australia and New Zealand. The move follows a two-year tenure within the Hills portfolio, which resulted from Hills’ acquisition of APG in August 2014. Following its inception 35 years ago, Midwich has become a leading supplier of pro A/V, security and IT throughout Australia and New Zealand, together with a variety of audiovisual solutions fitting its customers’ unique demands
Based just outside Sydney, Midwich’s portfolio in addition to Biamp includes Atlona, Avitech, BrightSign, Chief, Da-Lite, Epson, Exterity, Frontrow, Haivision, Jupiter, LG, Mersive, NEC, Planar, Samsung, Vaddio and ZeeVee. Having become such a dominant supplier to the A/V, broadcast and videoconferencing sectors, Midwich’s appointment by Biamp will provide more leverage and credibility in gaining access to projects incorporating an audio element or focus.
Midwich joins Biamp with many years of experience in audio, video and data distribution and offers strong product knowledge and technical support. Covering Australia and New Zealand, the distributor will provide solutions, products and services to Biamp resellers and integrators in the A/V and IT marketplace. Midwich Australia business development manager Sean Tobin commented: ‘We’re really excited to be representing such a strong global brand in Australia.
