Biamp to explore networking protocols at InfoComm China 2015

CHINA: Biamp Systems is to present two speaking sessions examining the specific features of today’s audio protocols at InfoComm China 2015. The first session, titled The Exploration of Networked Audio Protocols, will be delivered in Mandarin at 11.30 on April 9th and in English on the same day at 15.00. This will be followed by a Mandarin-only session at 16.00 exploring the trade-offs between centralised and decentralised paging system topologies titled Anatomy of Distributed vs. Centralised Paging Solutions. Biamp senior applications engineer, Kane Zhang, will present both sessions.

In addition to exploring the different network infrastructures available, the first session will also investigate differentiating time mechanisms and IP routing of media over networks, as well as open a discussion about the role of AES67 within the various protocols. The second session will investigate the architectures, benefits, and unique characteristics of distributed and centralised paging solutions. In addition, the presentation will look into issues such as scalability, interoperability, system reliability, and the resulting A/V system’s total cost of ownership.
