Bose F1 debuts in Singapore

SINGAPORE: Having enjoyed its Indian launch during the InfoComm show in Mumbai, Bose recently welcomed guests to 10 Square @ Orchard Central for its official debut in Singapore. During the launch, Bose’s Michael Guest unveiled the new F1 speakers and shared his knowledge of the system with attendees from the events management, hospitality, education and live sound industries. The powered portable speaker system allows users to control its vertical coverage pattern and was showcased by a DJ performance following the presentation. The launch was organised by Bose’s sole distributor in Singapore, Sovis Pte Ltd – a subsidiary of Atlas Sound & Vision Pte Ltd.

‘Designed to serve an even broader set of applications than L1 systems, F1 Model 812 is the first powered portable loudspeaker that lets users optimise sound by creating up to four different vertical coverage patterns,’ explained Mr Guest, Bose Professional sales manager for Asia Pacific. ‘Offering exceptional power and clarity, the F1 system provides versatility for a wide range of applications and venues, easy setup, aesthetically pleasing design, and rugged durability. The system is an ideal choice for live music, DJ, corporate A/V, house of worship, A/V rental and general PA applications.’

The system comprises the F1 Model 812 top enclosure and F1 Subwoofer, together forming an array that can be pushed or pulled into position to create a straight, C-shape, J-shape or reverse J-shape coverage pattern as required. With the coverage position set, the system then reportedly selects the best EQ curve to maintain optimal tonal balance for each pattern.
