Bose India launches F1 at InfoComm
Published: ASIA

INDIA: Bose India hosted the official launch of the company's new F1 flexible array loudspeaker the day after InfoComm India closed its doors in Mumbai, attracting a cross section of industry professionals. The F1, a powered portable speaker system which allows users to control its vertical coverage pattern, had also been on display on the company's stand during the three-day trade show.
The new system was presented to the crowd at Mumbai's Sahara Star hotel by Bose divisional manager Arun Kumar, who was proud to explain that this was Bose India's first major product launch. 'We only got involved with product distribution about two years ago - prior to that we've been mainly involved in systems integration work since the company was set up, around 16 years ago,' he told Pro Audio Asia.
'We are happy to be presenting the F1 to our partners in India and see great scope for it in the market here, from rental companies and DJs through to corporates, hotels, houses of worship and venues,' he continued. 'We want to expose it to everyone. It's perfect for the Indian market because the portability is excellent. The woofer weighs 25kg and it goes down to 45Hz, while the Class-D amps offer 1,000W of power. That performance isn't easily available, even in larger boxes. The main experience though comes from the top, which has eight arrayable drivers. We call it "Shape Your Sound", as you can decide what your vertical coverage angle will be.'
The F1 is now shipping through Bose partners across India.
