Budee and Martin Audio host MLA workshop in Hong Kong

HONG KONG: Martin Audio and Budee recently hosted a workshop in Hong Kong focused on the manufacturer’s MLA system. Martin Audio lead product support engineer, Andy Davies, led the seminar.

The morning session invited MLA users to join, and Mr Davies opened by providing an insight into the MLA system, announcing that the company will soon be launching an update of its Display software, in addition to new firmware. The update will reportedly improve both the ‘smoothness and headroom’ of the system in anticipation of a new version of Display scheduled to be released soon. Mr Davies also explored some key case studies of MLA from other countries.

The afternoon session was open to the general public and featured demonstrations given by Mr Davies on the MLA, MLA compact and LMA mini. Outlining his thoughts on the MLA system was Mr Mok of Max Production. ‘The technology of MLA is so unique that the system is really different from a traditional line array. The software can control the throw of the sound to the designated area. Moreover, it can greatly improve noise control, which is a big challenge. I am really impressed with the MLA system.’
