ASIA: Having promoted German console and networking broadcast technology for over 15 years, JAA Systems’ David Chan has agreed to distribute Calrec. The UK audio mixing broadcast console manufacturer recently signed an agreement with Selangor-based JAA (Junger Audio Asia) Systems Sdn Bhd to exclusively distribute its products in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
‘Calrec has been a respected brand for several decades, but is not as well known in this region, unfortunately,’ assessed JAA.S director, Mr Chan. ‘Therefore, taking on Calrec represents a great challenge for JAA.S. I’ve always admired the quality, reliability and build of their consoles. Having recently conducted a roadshow in Kuala Lumpur, all the Malaysian broadcasters were impressed with the many features inherent in the Brio36 and Artemis consoles.’
Currently distributing Junger Audio, Klotz Communications, Orban and Prodys in addition now to Calrec, JAA.S was formed in 2014. ‘We are honoured to represent Calrec,’ added Mr Chan. ‘Our team of engineers will establish strong service support for all existing clients and at the same time market it to new potential customers in the region.’
Calrec’s international sales manager, Anthony Harrison, was looking forward to working with JAA.S. ‘You cannot help but be impressed with David’s proven track record over the past decade. He’s highly-experienced and respected in the field of console sales. In JAA.S, Calrec has found the right partner to take our business forward in South East Asia.’
