Chongqing International Bike Centre opens with Nexo

CHINA: Chongqing’s International Bike Centre (IBC), a newly-opened ‘bike hub’ housed inside the Chongqing International Expo Centre at Liangjiang New Area, has been installed with Nexo sound system to support its everyday operations.
The IBC is the biggest bike hub in the country and offers various fitness services in addition to serving as a bike retailer. It spans an indoor floor area of 3,876 sq-m and an outdoor space of 3,960 sq-m, and can accommodate large-scale conferences, brand promotion events, product launches, corporate training and private parties.
Chosen to cater to the venue’s requirement for a ‘simple and compact, yet high-output speaker system’, the new Nexo solution has been deployed by the manufacturer’s Greater China distributor, Top Plot International, in ‘semi-permanent’ setups that can be moved as required. A total of four PS15-R2s and two LS18 subwoofers currently serve as the front of house system for the IBC’s indoor area, with stage monitoring from a pair of PS10-R2s. Amplification is from Nexo NXAMP4x4s, with a PreSonus CA18 digital mixing desk operating as the venue’s FOH console.
The system was installed at the IBC prior to its grand opening on November 15th. The hub’s management invited local jazz band, Lucky Blue, to perform at the opening ceremony through the new system.
