Christie beams thrillseekers up above Heilongjiang

CHINA: Christie projectors have been installed for two new attractions at Harbin Wanda Cultural Tourism City. The solutions were installed by the manufacturer’s Chinese partner, Wincomn Technology, which has worked with Wanda Group at its other sites.

Flyover Heilongjiang, a flight simulator, has been equipped with 24 Christie Roadster HD20K-J projectors that reproduce the effect of flying over the Heilongjiang Province throughout the four seasons. Projections are beamed onto a 20m wide x 16m high domed screen.

The other attraction is an interactive ride based on tales from Chinese folklore. As visitors are transported around seven zones, 84 DWU851-Q projectors create a 3D virtual environment that allows them to interact with the content.

‘Having gained invaluable experiences during our previous involvement in Wanda’s mega projects in Hefei and Nanchang, we are confident of delivering yet another top notch installation using Christie projectors,’ said Tony Chen, general manager at Wincomn Technology.
