Crestron forms backbone of ‘Smart City’

INDONESIA: PT Kluege International was called upon recently to integrate an A/V solution to incorporate within the IT infrastructure of Jakarta Smart City’s command centre. The local solutions provider selected Crestron products to form the user interface, designed to enable ease of disparate A/V signal and device management and ensure simple control of the solutions across the facility.
Alongside the Crestron Control System, Touch Panel, Switch and I/O, Kluege installed 15 Clockaudio boundary layer table-microphones into the command centre meeting rooms, while JBL Control two-way ceiling speakers handle sound reinforcement within the facility, processed by a BSS Blu audio processor. NEC’s wall display and interactive projector were also deployed.
‘The real impact is on how easy it has become for the users to control and navigate meetings with the Crestron touch panels,’ said Tubagus Erdhi, director at Kluege. ‘Proper planning, constant interaction with the client and design team, along with clear objectives helped us to move the project along fairly smoothly.’
