Creve LLC installs K-array system for Miss International

JAPAN: Japanese rental company Creve LLC has supplied a K-array loudspeaker system to the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, for use during the Miss International Beauty Pageant.

The pageant, which took place in December last year, is a beauty contest with a long history, attracting international media coverage and bringing contestants together from all over the world. In addition to the celebration of beauty, the pageant describes itself as having also ‘become a symbol of cross-culture understanding and an advocacy of world peace’.

The models however, were not the only stars of the show. K-array also made a debut at the venue, earning ‘great praise’ from the organisers. Creve LLC provided audio reinforcement services for the evening, choosing to install a K-array loudspeaker system. This as selected primarily because it was ‘compact and powerful, yet capable of even and accurate throw coverage’. According to Creve, they also perform adequately not only for music but also for speech. Due to their design and ultra-thin size, the loudspeakers could be hidden underneath enclosures built for the video displays, and therefore did not deflect attention from what was happening on stage.

Creve opted for K-array’s KR402 system – which comprised of a KP102 thin line array for mid-high frequencies and a KMT21 21-inch sub, both designed for optimal coverage. The KP52 from the Python series was also used to provide a long and wide horizontal coverage.

‘The right sound at the right place, ‘ exclaimed Bobby Tanadi, product specialist at Livegear. ‘Instead of the normally required four hours of work for an installation of this type, with K-array, we were in and out in 30 minutes, then there were three and half hours to make the most of tuning of the system. Less stress, more time with K-array!’
