CSMPTE hosts on-location sound seminar

CHINA: A recent four-hour seminar hosted by the China Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (CSMPTE) welcomed representatives from Lectrosonics, Sound Devices and Beijing DingRun to showcase their solutions for on-location sound recording in film, television and reality TV environments.

As sponsor for the event, Audio Professional Committee invited more than 100 guests from CCTV, China Film Group Corporation, Bayi Film Studios, China TV Drama Production Center, Beijing Film Academy and Communication University of China.

Ed Capp and Gordon Moore, vice presidents of sales for Sound Devices and Lectrosonics respectively, introduced their on-location specific audio solutions while discussing the various features of each that can help to increase recording efficiency.

Following the product showcases, CEO of DingRun Steven Gao and DingRun product manager Eric Zhang engaged guests in a question and answer session that also focussed around on-location sound recordings. The event was reported to be a great success.
