MONGOLIA: The art delegation of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) recently held the first of three shows at the Ulaanbaatar Central Palace of Culture during a 10-day visit to Mongolia. During their visit, the delegation carried out artistic exchanges with the song and dance troupe of the Mongolian military, with visual effects from PR Lighting provided by the Chinese manufacturer’s Mongolian partner, D-light.
The delegation consisted of people from the Song and Dance Troupe of the PLA General Political Department, the PLA Academy of Arts and the Acrobatic Troupe of the PLA Guangzhou Military Area Command (MAC). The aim of the visit was to enhance mutual trust and friendship between the two militaries through these performances in Mongolia.
A total of 36 XR 200 Beams and 36 XPAR 336 fixtures were used to cover the shows. The XR200 Beam is equipped with a Platinum 5R or Osram 230 HRI lamp that produces a parallel moving beam with a brightness of 67,765 lux. This was then combined with the LED source of the XPAR 336 to provide ‘high output efficiency with low power-consumption’. The heads of D-lights, Mr Davaa and Ms Bolor, described the combination deployed as ‘perfect’ and the performances as ‘very successful’.
