Details announced for IFTT sound forum

CHINA: As Pro Light & Sound (PL&S) Shanghai fast approaches, details have been revealed for Shanghai International Film and Television Technology Forum – Sound (IFTT) 2016, which is organised in collaboration with the Audio Professional Committee of the China Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (CSMPTE). IFTT will take place from 26th – 28th October at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao.
‘This technology-focused forum aims to promote new ideas and integration within the television broadcasting business,’ explained Judy Cheung, deputy general manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, which co-organises PL&S Shanghai along with Intex Shanghai. ‘As an industry leading-trade fair in Asia, Pro Light & Sound Shanghai is pleased to support any events like this to reinforce the industry development.’
The main theme for the forum will be cross integration and innovation. Topics covering new concepts and developments in production, technologies for film, television, sound and recording, will be discussed as well as media integration, 3D sound technology and IP technology applications. The list of speakers includes Katsuyuki Makino and Hao Chen from Yamaha Music & Electronics China, Hayden Leiper, who serves as a senior technical consultant for Shure, David Dohrmann, technical director Asia Pacific at Adamson, and Dolby Laboratories’ solutions engineer director, Mike Babbitt, among others.
