DiGiCo launches S21 at Pro Light and Sound

WORLD: British console manufacturer DiGiCo unveiled the S21 at this year’s Pro Light and Sound in Frankfurt. The compact footprint desk aims to ‘provide a true high-end console at the desired price point’.
Constructed from an aerospace-grade aluminium extrusion with polycarbonate overlays and RGB LED Hidden To Lit technology, S21 features 46 busses, 40 Flexi channels and 16 Flexi busses at launch as well as two P-CAP multitouch screens – with 10 channel strips per screen – and integrated USB to DAW connectivity for up to 48 tracks of recording.
Operation is 96kHz as standard, while connections include 24 mic line inputs, 12 analogue outputs and two AES I/Os (mono). The desk comes with dual DMI option card slots, providing and interface with industry formats including Analogue expansion, Madi, Dante, Optocore, Waves SoundGrid, or Calrec’s Hydra2 network.
