DJ Anantha adds extra Thump to his gigs

INDIA: Bangalore-based DJ, Anantha Kashyap, has invested in several Mackie Thump systems due to a recent surge in bookings. The inclusion of Mackie in DJ Anantha’s inventory began with the purchase of Thump 15 loudspeakers and was soon followed by the addition of Thump 18S subwoofers. The sales were facilitated by the manufacturer’s Indian distributor, Sonotone.
‘I play all kinds of electronic music and having done so for quite a while I’ve realised that audiences are quite particular about the quality of sound at their gigs. They react with more energy and enthusiasm if they notice the quality of sound is good and as a performer that’s what you want,’ said the DJ. ‘I experienced that personally when I bought my first pair of the Mackie Thump15 loudspeakers. People loved the music even more because of the quality of sound. This is why I decided to add the Mackie Thump18S to the setup, figuring that the added low frequency delivery would only enhance the sound, energy and overall vibe.’
