JAPAN: Having opened its doors in 2002, Matsumoto City-based live music venue, Livehouse Alecx, was in need of an upgrade at FOH. The venue plays host to a range of major touring artists, as well as local performers, and aims to operate with the best quality audio equipment. With this in mind, an Allen & Heath dLive digital mixing system was installed.
The system comprises a DM48 MixRack and a dLive S5000 Control Surface. The Dante network card equipped within the dLive system provides Livehouse with recording functionality in addition to live sound reinforcement.
‘As soon as dLive was installed, the system outshone the venue’s previous console,’ said chief engineer, Takuya Kitamura. ‘The fresh looks of the S5000 surface, combined with the more powerful, higher resolution sound quality of the system made it the perfect choice for Livehouse. dLive is also very flexible, providing recording options, and easily expandable and future proof as the business grows.’
Impressed with the new FOH system, Livehouse reportedly plans to soon upgrade its monitoring system by investing in the manufacturer's ME personal monitoring system.
