dLive mixes it up with the all-stars

CHINA: An Allen & Heath dLive digital mixing system was deployed at FOH during the recent all-star concert that filled the Jinhua stadium in China’s Zhejiang Province. The system was selected by PA company, Shanghai Jiexin Entertainment Equipment Co Ltd, which managed the event’s production, including the audio, lighting and stage.

The concert featured a variety of Asian stars, such as Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao and Chinese rock star Xie Tianxiao, and was held to promote the cultural relationship between China and neighbouring Kyrgyzstan. The audio team utilised over 100 line array speakers to cover the 30,000-seat venue, while the FOH mixing system comprised a dLive S7000 control surface and the DM64 mixrack for signal control.

‘The bands were very happy with the system,’ noted FOH engineer, Chen Dong. ‘dLive has very flexible architecture and a quick response, allowing us to save a lot of time during sound check. I also like the analogue-style rotary knobs – they are so precise. The built-in Rack effecs and vast effects library provide more than enough tools for sound shaping, so I don’t need any additional outboard equipment. With excellent sound, easy-to use features and great reliability, dLive really shone.’
