CHINA: Christie’s regional partner, Beijing Donview Technology Development (Donview), has staged and organised multiple roadshows across China to showcase the manufacturer's CP2208-LP laser phosphor cinema projector, with events held in Chongqing, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Wuhan, Hefei and Changchun. Live demonstrations of the projectors 2D and 3D content were featured and additional information about the product was also supplied to attendees.
‘This product marks the next level of digital projection, and is fully designed, engineered and manufactured by Christie,’ said Jason Pei, deputy general manager for Christie China. ‘Reliable and easy-to-operate, it is capable of lighting screens up to 35 feet wide in DCI colour, supports various alternative content sources through dual HDMI-over-DVI ports, and delivers images on the screen that are bright and engaging. It can display a full range of content, from the latest Hollywood blockbusters to locally produced content from all over the world.’
‘Christie is well known for its visual and audio solutions in the global cinema industry,’ commented Hongyi Liang, general manager for the digital cinema division at Donview. ‘The latest CP2208-LP is no exception. It is the clear choice of independent exhibitors, local art houses with limited budgets and remote sites where accessibility can be difficult for lamp maintenance. We are confident that exhibitors will readily embrace this high value and DCI-compliant digital cinema projector.’
‘Christie is a leader in projection technologies and as an exhibitor I’m very impressed by the performance and capabilities of this product,’ added Xingsheng Jiang, general manager at Red Carp Digital Cinema Group. ‘It is very compelling and deserves serious consideration for exhibitors with small auditoriums.’
