EampE adds three new team-members ahead of expansion

SINGAPORE: Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd (E&E) has welcomed three new recruits into its team in the shape of Jason Leong, Vincent Tan and Daniel Goh.

Singapore’s oldest and most respected  distributor is set to celebrate its 60th Anniversary next month and is celebrating by drawing up plans including the expansion of its product portfolio into new fields, with new appointments to assist. Jason Leong and Vincent Tan have been appointed as business development manager and senior assistant application manager respectively at the company’s Singapore headquarters, whilst Daniel Goh has been named as the new Malaysian general manager for Electronics & Engineering Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur.

Mr Leong is an industry veteran with 20 years experience in A/V systems, product representation and sales, and has been charged with developing new markets including large format video displays, digital cinema and LED solutions. He began his career with Yamaha Music in 1983, before moving onto O’ Connor’s and ultimately Electro Acoustic Systems in 1996 as a senior manager. In this latter role, Mr Leong managed many unique A/V projects including pioneering multimedia and control systems with smart card intelligence networks, which were linked to building automation. He also successfully introduced the largest high resolution indoor LED screen into one of Singapore’s mega churches in 2003 and was involved with the installation of a digital line array sound system in the acoustically tricky Singapore Indoor Stadium.

‘Joining E&E sets another new milestone with bigger challenges for me,’ commented Mr Leong. ‘Despite the market becoming increasingly competitive, increasing business opportunities in resource redevelopment and energy-saving projects will develop over the next decade. The key is to pioneer the right products at the right time, but with E&E’s professional reputation and honest commitment to both its clients and suppliers, we have a lot to look forward to.’

Daniel Goh is the younger brother of managing director Ronald. Having graduated with a BSc (Hon) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Loughborough University in the UK, he has gained three decades of experience, initially as a field engineer and more recently as a computer consultant in Canada. He is now charged with the responsibility of further developing the Malaysian market from E&E’s satellite office in Kuala Lumpur, in terms of product distribution and project management.

Mr Tan, on the other hand, now heads E&E’s system application team in developing the pro audio, AVIT, and media broadcasting sectors. His main task is to strengthen and consolidate the company’s product portfolio and solutions including R&D.

‘With six decades of history behind us, we are moving towards a new frontier in the region,’ commented Mr Ronald Goh. ‘Our core foundation is in people resources, and this in turn helps to bring out the best in our employees. It will be an immense challenge for the new team here to create further opportunities by adopting a pioneering culture. Our technological edge will continue to serve our clients’ ever changing needs.’
