Ecler grows new roots in Singapore’s Woodlands

SINGAPORE: Spanish sound reinforcement manufacturer, Ecler, has appointed SKM Auto Pte Ltd as its exclusive Singaporean distributor. Based in Woodlands, SKM Auto Pte Ltd is under the Sim Khee Meng Enterprises Pte Ltd umbrella, including IMS Mahajak Pro Audio which represents Avid, and IMS Marketing Pte Ltd which represents JBL Consumer. In addition to the distribution and servicing of A/V products, it also provides full audio turnkey solutions.
Having started his career at the company in 2002, senior project sales director Daniel Tan has taken responsibility to promote the Ecler brand in Singapore. ‘We started discussing the notion of working together several months ago and quickly realised that we could better penetrate the fixed installation market sector via their customer base,’ analysed Ecler South East Asia area manager, Lawrence Lee. ‘Our products are a perfect match in their current portfolio.’
Mr Tan recently received full product and software training including the proprietary EclerNet at the company’s HQ in Barcelona. ‘Above anything else, I wanted to know why their amplifiers were so reliable,’ declared Mr Tan. ‘Having witnessed all their amplifiers receiving a full 24-hour test before being packaged and shipped, I know we can confidently supply these to our end users. In addition to the amplifiers though, the sleek architectural designs of the Audeo and Verso speaker systems and the MIMO88SG 8-in, 8-out digital audio matrix are quality products that provide real world solutions at very competitive prices. We’re looking forward to introducing these to SIs, consultants, retailers, gyms, bars and restaurants throughout the island.’
