Elections CG takes care of Indonesian parliamentary elections

INDONESIA: In order to cater for the Indonesian parliamentary elections, wTVision has provided a complete graphics solution to the TV channel, SCTV, in Jarkarta. This is the first time that wTVision has developed a project in Indonesia and coincides with the manufacturer stating plans to reinforce expansion in Asia.

‘Our first election project in South East Asia shows our determination and capacity to provide added value services with impact at affordable costs to the broadcasters in the region,’ stated Willem van Breukelen, wTVision’s sales representative.

wTVision’s Elections CG was the chosen solution, allowing for integration of official data through the client’s data provider, and the implementation of augmented reality and virtual graphics. The studio set included videowalls and a touchscreen that allowed the host to control the graphics displayed. A journalist also had an iPad that handled the playout of virtual graphics. wTVision’s designers handled the graphics design and implementation, while the company’s operators managed the graphics playout. In total the project covered graphics services for more than 90 electoral projects in 10 countries.

‘We’re very satisfied with the way wTVision helped with our election night,’ said Merdi Sofansyah, chief editor, News SCTV. ‘We’ve learned much with this project and are eager to continue this partnership in the future.’
