Electro-Voice brings Portable Loudspeaker Academy to Ho Chi Minh City

VIETNAM: Electro-Voice recently hosted its Portable Loudspeaker Academy for users from the Asia Pacific region. The event took place in Ho Chi Minh City and focused on the manufacturer’s ZLX, ELX, EKX and ETX families. It attracted a total of 59 attendees from across the region, including Singapore, Myanmar, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia.
Product training on the commercial aspects of the manufacturer’s portable systems was provided by Edward Chia, regional product marketing manager at Bosch (SEA). Meanwhile, application and design manager for Asia Pacific, Ronnie Lai, offered training and demonstrations on the systems’ technical aspects.
As part of the two-day academy, Ronnie Lai demonstrated the EKX and ETX models, which include a cardioid subwoofer setting that limits excess bass outputs in undesired locations, such as on stage.
Electro-Voice treated its guests to an evening dinner after the first day’s session at the nearby Racing Beer Club, giving participants a practical demonstration of the ETX system installed there.
