Eve provides monitoring confidence for Joy Art Studio

TAIWAN: Joy Art Studio, a small professional studio located in the heart of Taipei, has been outfitted with monitors from Berlin-based manufacturer Eve Audio. The studio is owned by James Chen, a famous composer of commercial music for advertisements and scoring for films. The addition of the new speakers has reportedly given him the accuracy required to be confident with his mixes.
Joy Art Studio has been acoustically treated throughout and features an Avid Pro Tools HDX system and Avid S-6 M-10 surface in the control room. These are joined by an Eve Audio 5.1 system comprising four SC207 loudspeakers for the corner positions, an SC305 for the central channel and a TS110 for low frequency effects.
‘The sound is very good,’ reflected Mr Chen. ‘I did not imagine that my rather small studio could provide such big sound. With the Eves the sound response is fast and precise. The bass/special effects response is also deep and fast like in a big theatre. To me, the accuracy and precision of the sound reproduction is very important, I can hear every single detail clearly and I can work on the Eves for a long time without ear fatigue. Since I’ve been using the Eve monitors I’m confident about my mixes and can rely on the speakers 100 per cent.’
