AUSTRALASIA: Following the recent appointment of Travis Anderson as country manager for Australia and New Zealand, Exterity has now appointed Midwich ANZ as it exclusive distributor for the two countries as part of its aim to become the ‘primary IP video provider in the region’.
‘Increased demand for our solutions in Australia and New Zealand led us to increase our local presence and launch a new distribution partnership with Midwich,’ commented Exterity CEO, Colin Farquhar. ‘We already work extensively with Midwich in other regions and they have consistently demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of our markets and product portfolio, which fits with our ambition to become the primary IP video solutions company in Australasia.’
‘Working with the renowned brand Exterity will enable us to strongly support the professional IP video marketplace in Australia and New Zealand,’ said Midwich ANZ general manager, Mark Lowe. ‘Starting with Integrate Expo at the end of August, we already envision a busy second half of the year with a series of intensive training courses in Melbourne and Sydney. In addition, we will benefit from enhanced maintenance and support through the new AvediaCare platform that Exterity is making available to its regional partners. The icing on the cake for us is to be able to help sell Exterity’s innovative product portfolio, including its new “Beyond the LAN” range of products. This enables us to be armed for the mobile video revolution that is already starting in the pro A/V world.’
‘Midwich brings Exterity an intensity and day-to-day focus with their major dealers as a value added distributor, combined with much more technical expertise throughout ANZ,’ furthered Exterity Asia-Pacific sales director, Richard Phillips. ‘They have fantastic new premises with training, showroom and demo facilities. Midwich truly understand IP and A/V and carry a well defined mix of products to provide IP-based solutions to many key vertical markets. We look forward to continuing to grow our business throughout Australasia in conjunction with them.’
