EZPro brings SynAudCon to Shenzhen

CHINA: A recent three-day Sound System Design seminar hosted by SynAudCon at the EZPro headquarters in Shenzhen attracted around 80 system designers. EZPro International is a distributor for a number of brands in the region, including Community Professional, EAW, Mackie, Symetrix and others.
The workshop’s introduction to China is the result of EZPro’s vice president Tao Zhang. Mr Zhang had previously attended a number of SynAudCon seminars when based in the US and working for Community Professional. Now back in China, he approached SynAudCon about presenting its training at EZPro International.
‘Audio education is difficult to find in Asia,’ explained Mr Zhang. ‘After experiencing the SynAudCon seminars, I knew audio professionals in the region would be excited for the opportunity. It was terrific that Pat and Brenda were able to work with us to bring their training here.’
The Sound System Design programme consists of a three-day seminar presented by SynAudCon owner and instructor Pat Brown. The training aims to provide attendees with a ‘logical, intuitive and comprehensive approach’ to the system design process by exploring speech intelligibility issues, determining speaker types for specific applications (and the correct amplifiers to use) and computer room modelling.
Attendees to the Shenzhen seminar came from as far afield as Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with many of them reportedly having worked for some of the country’s largest system integrators. Because most of the attendees were not fluent in English, Mr Zhang provided translations for Mr Brown. His technical background along with his understanding of western and Asian culture reportedly made the two a perfect team.
‘It was gratifying to present this seminar,’ added Brenda Brown of SynAudCon. ‘Many of the attendees went out of their way to compliment the materials and presentation process. It was a terrific event for everyone involved with special thanks to EZPro for creating such a great learning environment.’
