Fajar Baiduri Events purchases Vera36

MALAYSIA: Following its establishment and the recent demo day in Kuala Lumpur, the TW Audio Asia office has announced the purchase of 24 Vera36 cabinets and 20 S33 subwoofers by Fajar Baiduri Events (FBE) Sdn Bhd, a major rental company in Malaysia. The rental house has been expanding since its establishment in 1992, starting off in the industry with a focus on stage rental and construction before shifting gradually towards full-service event production. It was therefore seeking a system capable of catering to the needs of these various events.
In addition to the enclosures, FBE has purchased four Lab.gruppen PLM 10000 and five PLM 20000 amplifiers installed in two touring racks to power the system, as well as dollies and covers for the whole system, six rigging frames and accessories to fly the subs, if required.
‘It was about time we upgraded,’ explained FBE owner, Khairul ‘Kojack’ Isma. ‘We’ve been looking at what the market has to offer in terms of rigging and handling, set up time, loading space, and the impact it would have on my team. TW Audio’s Vera36 fits all these requirements. When I heard the complete system during the Demo Day, I told myself that that PA was going to be part of my company’s portfolio.’
Following the demo day, a team of FBE engineers attended a two-day training session at the German manufacturer’s Asia office, where TW Audio Asia general manager Augustine Edward and the office support team imparted knowledge on line array theory and provided training for Lab.gruppen’s Lake software and EASE Focus II simulation software. The rental house has also already put the new system to use. All 24 Vera36 and 20 S33s were used at the Padang Merbok, providing reinforcement for a political speech to a crowd of 60,000.
‘We’ve had an overwhelming response since I announced that I bought TW Audio’s Vera36 system,’ said Mr Isma. ‘Our schedule became more packed than usual so this was definitely the right decision for us. With the post-sales support that I get from TW Audio Asia, there is nothing more that I could ask for.’
