First Indian dLive used at Mumbai’s HRC

INDIA: Mumbai’s Hard Rock Café (HRC) has become home to the first Allen & Heath dLive mixing console to be installed in India. Supplied through the manufacturer’s Indian distributor, Sun Infonet, an S7000 console – the largest in the dLive range – was selected alongside a DM64 MixRack.
The new system was first put to use for an Elvis Presley tribute by national singing icon Garry Lawyer and his seven-piece band. Sound engineer, Afaque Azad, mixed both FOH and monitors on the new system.
‘I am extremely happy and impressed with the board,’ commented Mr Azad. ‘I am amazed at the accuracy of dLive’s dynamic processing, EQ and effects rack, and the user-friendly interface. The ultra low latency of the mixer made it a very positive mixing experience, and the surface’s illumination and the dust resistant faders are a bonus. Several of the band members were also impressed with the mixer.’
