Globe Studios expands BigKnob collection

INDIA: Following the previous purchase of a Mackie BigKnob monitor control unit for its principal control room facility in Santacruz, Mumbai, Globe Studios has added a further pair to its arsenal.
The TV, film, online and music production studio has made the recent purchase from the manufacturer's local distributor, Sonotone, as a result of the existing unit exceeding expectations. The new BigKnob devices will be used in Globe Studios’ annex production facilities, adjacent to the principal control room.
‘The Mackie BigKnob delivers all that a large format unit would, but with a footprint that’s almost 60 per cent smaller,’ explained Mukesh Lobo, chief engineer at Globe Studios. ‘We had no doubts about investing in BigKnob monitors for the two adjoining production rooms, because we knew it would deliver exactly what we wanted.’
