Harman brands selected for Helvetica Bar

AUSTRALIA: Perth’s Helvetica bar – described as ‘one of Western Australia’s coolest venues’ – recently enlisted B&H Australia to design and install an audio system for its new upstairs area.

Configured for music playback, the new system combines JBL speakers, Crown amplifiers and an analogue Soundcraft console, all supplied by Australian Harman distributor Jands Pty Ltd. Both BGM and foreground music was required, provided by six JBL Control226CT and two JBL Control19CS in-ceiling subwoofers powered by two Crown XLS1000 amplifiers.

‘The JBL Control 226CT in ceiling speakers are ideal for applications where superior musical impact, voice clarity and high sound levels are required,’ remarked B&H Australia’s Account Manager Paul Raphael. ‘The extremely wide coverage from 6.5-inch coaxial drivers allows fewer speakers to cover a larger area, reducing overall system cost without sacrificing sound quality. The additional JBL Control 19CS in-ceiling subs produce a powerful bass from a low profile in-ceiling design.’ A SCF-RW5797 Soundcraft Notepad console can be employed for both the upstairs and downstairs systems.
