Harman India's Sambandh 2014 conference focuses on Sri Lanka

SRI LANKA: Harman Professional has announced the addition of Sri Lanka as a portfolio market for Harman India at this year's two-day Sambandh 2014 business conference in Colombo. Under the banner 'Partnering with the Future', the event saw the Harman India team connect with more than 120 dealers, systems integrators, consultants and end users, Harman executives and product specialists.
'The theme of Sambandh 2014 was to celebrate partnerships and welcome the future. And because we had so much to communicate and collaborate on, for the first time ever we have decided to host this event in the culturally rich and vibrant city of Colombo,' stated Ankush Agarwal, director of marketing, Harman Professional India. 'Our theme of “Partnering with the Future” is especially relevant as we continue to offer products and systems that provide the growing Indian market with a more comprehensive portfolio of audio, lighting and control solutions than ever before.'
Split into four main segments – Harman Conversations, Harman Groove, Harman Insights and Harman Live – the event featured informative talk-show style sessions with M Lakshminaryan, MD, India, Harman Professional and Prashant Govindan, director, India Operations, Harman Professional, covering micro and macro business opportunities across the A/V space. This was followed by presentations and division-specific updates by Harman's TJ Smith, GM, Signal Processing Business Unit; Niclas Brattberg, VP of sales, Middle East and Asia Pacific, AMX; and Van Williamson, business development manager, Commercial Systems. In the evening, the attendees continued their discussions at the Groove networking dinner.
Day two of the conference featured product and topic specific educational sessions for digital mixing systems, wireless microphones systems, installed sound systems and lighting systems. The event finished with a live performance at the outdoor venue Water's Edge, backed up by a full complement of JBL VTX V20 line array speakers, a Soundcraft Vi3000 console, Crown amplifiers and Martin lighting.
