SINGAPORE: Hexagon Solution Pte Ltd is aiming to set a new Guinness World Record for the greatest light output in a projected image ever produced. The company has already installed 160 Christie Roadster HD20K-J units for a projection mapping display at the opening ceremony of the South East Asian Games at the Singapore Sports Hub.
‘This is the first time that we are vying for the Guinness World Records title and we are hopeful that with our setup of 160 Christie Roadster HD20K-J projectors – each producing 20,000 lumens – we are able to smash the current record and emerge as the new record holder,’ said Hexagon Solution managing director Adrian Goh. ‘At the same time, we’re proud to present an exciting projection mapping show at the opening of this eagerly anticipated sports event. It has taken us a month to complete the entire installation process and we’re fully committed to deliver a top-notch performance.’
The showcase will feature the projection of multimedia content onto the stadium floor to welcome the 7,000 athletes taking part. The Hexagon team has hung the entire fleet of projectors from 20 specially built towers at the top of the upper seating area, with content provided from 18 coolux Pandoras Box media servers.
‘We are pleased to support our longstanding partner Hexogon Solution in this attempt to attain this Guinness World Records title and we will put in our best efforts to make this a reality,’ commented Lin Yu, VP at Christie Asia Pacific. ‘In fact, the 160 Christie Roadster HD20K-J projectors set up at this venue is already the world’s largest number of Christie projectors ever deployed for an event to date.’
