Hi-Fi Centre takes Harman to Sri Lanka construction exhibition

SRI LANKA: Colombo-based Harman Professional dealer Hi-Fi Centre (Pvt) Ltd recently took its range of brands to a trade exhibition outside of the traditional pro audio show calendar by visiting Construct Exhibition. The company’s head of enterprise solutions Hasanjith Kuruppuarachchi described the show as ‘bringing together the entire value chain of the building and construction industry under one roof’.

Taking place in early August, the exhibition is widely regarded within the regional construction industry as Sri Lanka’s largest and most prestigious show of its kind. Organised by the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka, and taking place at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Center (SBMEC) in Colombo, the event played host to pro audio equipment including JBL Control series speakers and Eon portable enclosures for the first time.

‘Attending meant that we were able to influence construction companies, architects, mechanical engineers and many others related to construction,’ furthered Mr Kuruppuarachchi. ‘Sri Lanka has a fast growing economy now and the country is experiencing much more construction around the island.’

Mr Kuruppuarachchi added that Hi-Fi Centre had acquired at least one key project as a result of exhibiting at the show, as well as ‘strengthening ties with other exhibitors’.

Hi-Fi Centre is among the most established audiovisual suppliers in Sri Lanka having worked within the industry for more than 40 years and boasting 14 branches across the island.
