HNN 24x7 unpacks AirBox Neo

INDIA: PlayBox Technology has worked in partnership with Delhi-based broadcast systems integrator Avtech Digital Equipments to design and install a complete AirBox Neo system at HNN 24x7. Broadcasting via satellite, digital terrestrial networks and online, HNN 24x7’s facility is based in Dehradun. AirBox Neo provides UHD functionality for the core PlayBox Technology content playout system.
‘This was a complete new-build project including two multi-camera news production studios, voiceover suites, technical control rooms and apparatus rooms,’ recalled Avtech’s managing director, Rajiv Puri. ‘The core playout infrastructure includes two ProductionAirBox servers plus an AirBox Neo channel-in-a-box system which is populated with DataBox Neo, ListBox Neo and SafeBox Neo. These are integrated with a dual mix/effects vision switcher, newsroom automation, editors, signal codecs, a master router, live backpack units and interfaces.’

The entire process of system design, integration, commissioning and staff training went very smoothly and we are now getting into the full routine of actually running the channel.’
