WORLD: Hosa Technology has named Mayumi Martinez as its first executive vice president, having created the role to ‘prepare the company for the next generation of leadership’ as its founding president Sho Sato transitions to retirement. Ms Martinez is responsible ‘for all aspects of the company’s operations’.
Described as ‘a seasoned financial specialist’, Ms Martinez most recently served as vice president of product implementation for Bank of America, though she previously worked for Countrywide Home Loans as first vice president for products. In her new position, she will gradually assume control of the Hosa’s operations including all financial matters, streamlining infrastructure, improving operating efficiencies and expanding the company’s product lines. She described herself as ‘honoured’ to have been offered the new position.
‘I’ve always had a passion for business administration and the opportunity to apply my skills and experience to a highly regarded technology company like Hosa is a dream come true,’ she enthused. ‘We have a tremendously capable team here and, with their support and collective effort, I look forward to guiding the organisation as we venture into the new decade. I’m excited about the new challenges this position presents and I am very optimistic about the business opportunities ahead.’
Current Hosa president Sho Sato was equally pleased: ‘Martinez brings a wealth of business experience that I’m confident will prove invaluable as the company enters a new decade of operations. I’m extremely proud of all we’ve accomplished here and I genuinely believe Mayumi brings both the business expertise and vision that will enable the company to flourish as we move forward. She’s a true team leader with the unique ability to guide this organisation into a new era. I’m absolutely certain she is the right person to oversee this company and I have no doubt she will make numerous significant contributions to its storied history.’
