INDIA: IABM has entered into a strategic partnership with EIG (Exhibitions India Group) to support next year’s Convergence India exhibition and conference. The vendors’ association states that it aims to deliver a single, main trade show for the Indian market under the alliance.
Convergence India will find IABM supporting a show that highlights IT, telecoms and new media, as well as broadcasting.
‘What were once discrete sectors are rapidly coalescing into a much larger entity and it is IABM’s mission to ensure that our members continue to grow and develop with it,’ explained Peter White, CEO of IABM. ‘By putting our weight behind Convergence India, we aim to add critical mass to create one major show in the country that spans the whole electronic entertainment and media industry.’
‘Having an influential global organisation such as IABM supporting Convergence India is a welcome addition to the headway we have been making over the last few years,’ added EIG president, SJ Singh. ‘It will give a boost to our efforts to deliver the premier Indian convergence event that serves the needs of the widest range of exhibitors and visitors.’
