Iconic bar opens in New Delhi with Quest

INDIA: A Quest Engineering audio system has been installed into the latest venue opened by famous Singaporean chain Harry’s Bar, this time occupying prime real estate in New Delhi’s prestigious Khan Market. The system was installed by Quest’s Indian distributor Sun Infonet Pvt Ltd.

Over the course of two decades Harry’s Bar has become one of Singapore’s most iconic nightspots, originally starting with a single location at Boat Quay before spreading to 26 venues across Singapore and beyond. The chain describes its target market as PMEBs (professionals, managers, executives and businessmen).

The New Delhi bar is moderately sized, catering for approximately 50 customers at a time and comprising a galley bar along one side with mood lighting and a prominent Harry’s Bar logo adorning the wall. It is divided into five zones: the private dining area, the main restaurant, the bar area, the terrace and the special party zone.

Quest Engineering enclosures can be found throughout, with passive HPI5 ultra-compact speakers positioned in the primary zones. Active QSA 200i cabinets serve the main restaurant, along with a QM600S subwoofer for low-end extension. Power is delivered via Quest QA 3004 and QA 2004 amplifiers.

Following the installation, the bar’s owner, Mr Dharmendra, declared himself delighted with the results. ‘We selected the right gear for the right job and it has proven to be a very good combination,’ he explained. ‘Not only do the products sound great, they also match the quality that our customers expect from Harry’s.’
