Imagine provides complete storage and playout solution for TNN

THAILAND: An end-to-end Imagine Communications solution built around its Nexio NewsForce platform has been implemented for the Thai News Network (TNN). Working in partnership with local distributor B.E.C. Co Ltd and systems integrator Advanced Broadcast Corporation, the project included central storage for ingest, asset management and playout on a Nexio Farad online storage platform.
‘Our original news platform was unreliable under pressure, so to expand our offerings we needed to look at a system that delivered complete robustness and stability,’ explained Vichai Sernvongsat, chief technology officer at TNN. ‘Imagine Communications was able to demonstrate a complete solution from a single vendor, with reference sites doing just what we needed. This convinced us that they would be able to deliver the performance and reliability we sought, and to deliver against our tight timelines. The result goes beyond all our expectations.’
In addition to the Nexio solution, the project also included Velocity video editors integrated alongside the existing Final Cut Pro edit suites, as well as an Imagine Communications Platinum router with integrated Predator II-GX HD multiviewer and Selenio 6800+ and X50 signal processing units.
