Iosono and SWD Group open 3D sound showroom in Shanghai

CHINA: A new 3D sound showroom and laboratory has opened at the Shanghai office of SWD Group, the design division of microphone manufacturer sE Electronics. The new showroom has been opened in conjunction with 3D sound specialist Iosono following a number of key projects using the technology in Asia, including the recent World Expo in Korea.
SWD Group will reportedly use the new studio for music and movie sound production alongside demonstrations and training seminars. The showroom has been described by the two companies as ‘further establishing 3D sound in one of the world’s fastest growing markets’.
The 3D effect within the showroom will be achieved using Iosono’s Spatial Audio Processor IPC 100 and 94 sE Munro Egg loudspeakers placed in three layers throughout the space.
