J Davis Prosound & Lighting debuts K2 for Skrillex

INDIA: Having recently purchased an L-Acoustics K2 line array system, J Davis Prosound & Lighting debuted the solution at Skrillex’s recent concert in Bangalore. The purchase was made through the manufacturer’s Indian distributor Hi-Tech Audio Systems Pvt Ltd and comprised 24 K2 elements, 32 SB28 subwoofers, 12 V-Dosc and 12 dV-Dosc with amplification from LA 8 and LA 48a units. The entire system was deployed for the Bangalore gig.

Founded by J Davis, the company is run by his son Santana Davis, a well-known system and mix engineer in the region. ‘Having worked on L-Acoustics systems including V-Dosc, Kudos, dV-Dosc and Arcs, investing in L-Acoustics’ K2 was completely natural,’ offered Santana Davis. ‘Much to the delight of dubstep fans as well as the organisers, Viacom 18, the sound was as good as it could get. I just turned the system on and it sounded perfect without having to do much in terms of system EQ. This is just one reason we prefer this system over others.’
