Kairos Multijaya to represent Powersoft in Indonesia
Published: ASIA

INDONESIA: With immediate effect, Powersoft has appointed leading supplier Kairos Multijaya as its exclusive distributor in Indonesia, joining a portfolio of high-end brands that already includes DiGiCo, Allen & Heath, EAW, RCF and, most recently, Audio-Technica. The new partners are also due to collaborate on a special education event towards the end of August, named Sound School Indonesia.
The appointment of Kairos Multijaya represents another step forward within South East Asia for the Florence, Italy-based manufacturer, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. In addition to a fleet of high profile distributors across the region, Powersoft also boasts a dedicated Singapore base where APAC sales manager Arthur Soh and technical engineer Remi Orsoni are based.
Commenting on the appointment, Kairos Multijaya managing director Pratama Budiman expressed his enthusiasm. ‘We have been admirers of Powersoft’s products for many years, so when the brand became available in Indonesia, we seized the opportunity,’ he explained. ‘From our experiences with RCF, we love the warmth and friendliness of working with Italian companies. Their extremely well engineered amplifiers and products offer the best value for money on the market, are innovative and extremely competitive. In addition, they also share the same vision as ourselves in wanting to educate the market and provide end-users with invaluable knowledge.’
Towards that end, the partners will host the Sound School Indonesia event on August 27th and 28th, covering a broad range of topics. Included will be in-depth training on Powersoft’s own Armonia software, an exploration of the X-Series range, a guide to creating and saving presets from loudspeaker manufacturers’ data, and demonstrations of both damping control and subwoofer cardioid adjustments. The event will follow similar education showcases in Singapore on July 22nd and 23rd (in association with Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd), and in Seoul, South Korea on August 18th and 19th (in association with Dasan SR). Both Mr Orsoni and Mr Soh will be present at each event.
Regarding Powersoft’s choice of partner, Mr Soh commented, ‘Kairos is very experienced in the pro audio market in Indonesia, with good access to the different vertical markets. We also share the same vision in terms of education and this is important as both companies work together to achieve a common goal. I believe that with the right amount of commitment from both companies we will achieve our goals.’
Mr Budiman added that Kairos Multijaya’s plans for the brand extend across multiple sectors of the Indonesian market. ‘Powersoft’s K, M and Ottocanali series were recently joined by the X-Series, and they are all seen on fixed equipment racks in houses of worship, nightclubs and all manner of venues and auditoria, in addition to the mobile racks of production companies,’ he said. ‘The development of the innovative Deva system also particularly excites us.’
